We open with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, that oversees the committee.
She initiates by providing details to the unauthorized memo prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in a national newspaper.
"It is not my wish for the BBC slanting this way or that way, I just want it straight, unbiased and fair," he says.
In response to a query if he considers the BBC is institutionally biased, the adviser replies: "No, I do not. Let's be clear, numerous aspects the BBC does is world class - including documentary and entertainment content."
But he adds: "There exists real work that requires attention at the BBC."
